Nunatak | Live Earth

Out of pure boredom, my wife and I flipped around CNBC, Bravo and NBC last night watching the various Live Earth performances. 99% of the performances seemed tired and lame. However, one stood out. Nunatak. Five British research scientists in Antarctica playing to 17 other scientists on a giant chunk of ice.

Is there something wrong with me because I'd rather listen to this song any day over wrinkled former members of Pink Floyd doing disinterested versions of "Dark Side of the Moon" and "Another Brick In the Wall"? This is a good song.

I wonder if there were any research scientists who didn't attend the concert. "You Know! I've only seen season 2 of Xena 6 times. Screw those jerks."

I'm guessing some of the scientists were standing there thinking, "Just friggin' great. That guy can't even spell petri dish and the other guy can't even reboot his computer but now, they're famous. Just friggin' great. Sixteen years at Oxford...wasted."
