Todd Barry | Coming to Burlington | May 10

Next Saturday, comedian Todd Barry will be making, I think, his third appearance at Higher Ground over the last few years. The folks at Higher Ground must treat him well when he's in town to keep him coming back. And I'm glad they do so because he's a hilarious comic.

He's out supporting his new album, From Heaven. He stills focuses on topics such as music and the internet but he fleshes out ideas a bit more on this album than on previous CDs. Plus, the tracks combine multiple subjects so the full album is now on just 16 tracks as opposed to the 50+ tracks on his last album, Medium Energy. The key is that it now makes it worth downloading from eMusic rather than iTunes. [Note: I just checked and Medium Energy has now been consolidated to 14 tracks on eMusic. Much better.]

There are two show times at Higher Ground on Saturday. 6:30pm and 9:30pm

Todd Barry | Selling CDs, Springsteen at Bar, Moore at Party, Gawker | Buy

Todd Barry | MySpace, Unbelievable Questions, Guy Who Reads Email, UF | Buy
