For a long time I was resisting the hype surrounding Cold War Kids. They seemed like a fad and their songs weren't grabbing me. However, someone had sent me a pair of their songs and they kept popping up on my iPod. And damnit! They grew on me.
Now I've bought Robbers & Cowards and am enjoying the hell out of their brand of "suburban angst soul" (how's that for a hideously named musical genre?). Now, to top it off, they are coming to Northampton. Bastards. Geez, by spring, I may be a full-fledged fan.
The show will be at Pearl Street. They are also playing La Sala Rossa in Montreal two nights later but I'd rather drive to Northampton on a Saturday night than Montreal on a Monday night; even though the Montreal show will probably be a hotter show.
You can see the full run of tour dates here.
Now add in the fact that another one of my new faves Tokyo Police Club will be opening for them, it's a great night of music.

Interesting story as for me. It would be great to read something more concerning that theme. Thanx for sharing that data.
