lol, that was amusing, I forwarded it to my Vermont mailing list...have a sister in Waitsfield, another in Warren and a son at UVM, read the blog regularly from New Jersey to tell folks up there what they should be going to see! nicely done
Herzegovina!
Deb,
Thanks and I'm glad to see NJ represented. I grew up in Montville, went to Rutgers for grad school and lived in Hoboken after Rutgers before moving up here. When are you going to join the rest of your family up here? We need all the music fans we can get up here.
jds,
Perhaps we should do some posts in Bosnian to appeal to our relocated neighbors.
Seriously, I first heard about the large influx of Bosnians when someone was telling me about the rgular pick-up soccer games on the Vermont College green. I guess they were always gentlemanly games until the Bosnians arrived and started to trash peoples ankles with their hard tackles. It's nice to hear that they are bringing some intensity to the game. American soccer in general needs more intensity and fewer orange wedges.
flatlander--they do try to get me to move up there but one of the things I worry about it access to music, I'm totally spoiled living between NY and Philly and being able to see almost everything I want (well, you need money, too...)
Also, I meant to tell you, don't feel bad you are in your late 30s and still going to shows, I am in my late 40s and still going to shows, I can't help it I am still interested!
