60 Degrees on Nov 30th

If you think the weather is freaky around here lately, check out the photo above. That's the observation deck at the top of Mt. Washington. That's right folks...on Nov 30th, there is no snow on the top of Mt. Washington.

That's weird.

Historically, Mt. Washington has averaged over 40 inches of snow in November with an average temperature of 20 degrees. I understand standard deviations and anomolies but this is still a weird winter so far.

Oklahoma just had a major winter storm and we have yet to see any significant snow here in Vermont, how does that work?

I feel like I owe you an apology after talking up the winters here.

Another oddity of this lack of snow is that the youth ski programs at Bolton Valley are supposed to start on Dec. 9th! They don't have a single snowflake on the hill nine days before the programs start.
