If you enjoy the vocal stylings of NYC's Sasha Dobson, you might say she has a cool jazzy lounge style with a Brazilian backbeat. If you don't like the Santa Cruz native, you might say she sounds like bland 70's AM Radio easy listening crapola. Since I'm posting about her, I obviously fall into the first camp.To further show the dichotomy of Dobson, she is scheduled to play Lincoln Center on Feb. 22nd but she was also recently the KCRW Top Tune of the day. Besides Sufjan Stevens, I can't think of too many artists that have pulled off that double.
Dobson's debut album, Modern Romance was released last August.
